how, do I caption this? "Frankencamper"?:
As it begins:

The lift: ( after breaking one strap, owing to my helper not seeing it was cut).

swinging into place:

sliding it in: (ever so gently)

final alignment:

hahah, yeah,.......you know how sometimes, it all just works out?
well
legal max height: 14'
FC height: 13'8"
max rearward overhang at 2/3 wheelbase: 9'6"
FC overhang: 9'4"
water monitor height from deck, sans tip: 46"
bottom of cab over height, from deck: 48"
I'm hoping, with all the heavy engine, Allison auto trans, and pumping apparatus ahead of the camper, IPBA.
I may also haul extra water out in the tank. Not sure about that yet. It'll haul 500 gallons, but, not sure how much it leaks, or, if there'd be a good reason to do so.

You know Yggy, I've been to your home numerous times, and when I first saw the final picture (which I saw first) even though I know you own those things outright, oddly enough it looked to me like two accordians making love.
But then again, I'm sicker than most.

No no Doc, do not be blinded; it is the majestic mating of two behemoths, lovingly orchestrated, attended with pious attention and requiring all the vicarious effort usually reserved for imperial consummations. I find it very impressive and quite inspiring.Dr. Pyro wrote:You know Yggy, I've been to your home numerous times, and when I first saw the final picture (which I saw first) even though I know you own those things outright, oddly enough it looked to me like two accordians making love.

@ DJS: haha, yeah, I imagine a head wind will slow me.....although, it's got a pretty big engine, being a fire truck and all.
and, "fire hose rides"......you're brilliant!!
I have to see, how much it leaks. I know it drips some water when the tank is full. Even though clean water, I'd think it'd be frowned upon to be sitting there dripping......
@ Eric:
yeah, you just want it to match your beard.
standing in front, you might appear as the "Cheshire Cat"?........hahhaaa

You certainly wouldn't like it being stuck in a big puddle of silt if it leaks really bad. I don't think it would qualify as potable in that container either.ygmir wrote:@ DJS: haha, yeah, I imagine a head wind will slow me.....although, it's got a pretty big engine, being a fire truck and all.

Ygmir, can you get a hold of your nozzle with the camper on top of it like that?
Do you have a remote control nozzle?
Maybe you can hose people down from the safety of your camper?
