Camp Delicioso & Creperie - Space Available!

Post by jethro » Tue Jul 19, 2011 7:36 pm

Greetings & Salutations -

Camp Delicioso & Creperie has a few openings for some responsible, team oriented, and mature burners. We offer a very chilled environment, full of artists, musicians and professionals alike, roughly in the 30 - 50 age range. Our camp has been serving crepes for 3 years, and returning again for our 4th year, operating 3 days this year (Wed - Fri), serving roughly 500-600 per day. We offer sweet & savory and lots of kindness for our hungry guests.

The camp accoutrements include a beautiful dome with couches, carpeting, bar, sound system, lighting and very chilled decorations. Plenty of group shade structures, kitchen, and showers, bike racks, generator and of course very cool people to hang with. We also have bistro tables for the creperie, our signing and lots of other items that spruce up our camp's appearance. Camp dues will cover all of the creature comforts and include dinner/breakfast (Mon-Sun) You will need to bring you're own water for bathing and drinking, and any snacks and lunchtime foods as you'll be on your own for those items

Camp Delicioso has never opened up our camp for additional people to join, so we're going about it as follows:

1. Please send a detailed summary of why you'd like to join our camp and what CONTRIBUTIONS you will provide to enhance the group.

2. We will review and contact accordingly.

3. Those selected to move forward, will go through at least 2 phone conversations / interviews with at least 2 different people from our camp.

We are quite busy getting the machine rolling, so please don't waste our time if you're not 100% committed to attending.

Lastly, Camp Delicioso requires your involvement. Not just serving crepes (which we schedule shifts for service), but over all assistance in the camp is required. Cleaning MOOP, taking initiative in helping out, being respectful of others, being a team player with a positive disposition and can party responsibly. If you're attending BM to get your drug on, Camp D does not represent that aspect of Burning Man, and kindly asks that you need not apply. We are very accepting, however, we do have limits.

If you're interested, please re-read everything above, then send the requested information to: [email protected].

Someone will get back to you asap.

Cheers - Jethro

Jethro! Good luck and congrats, can't wait to see you guys again on Playa this year, some of my favorite memories from my first year were at your camp. I am so stoked to see you opening up for outside recruitment- our camp has had PHENOMENAL luck with it- we made life-long friends. I don't understand why more camps don't do it. New blood is good. Best wishes!

hMMmmmm....crepes! Any theme days? Skip the line privileges?

I was near the pancakes camp at the 9'oclock keyhole last year and they had a theme each day. First day was "plaid" pancakes. A guy literally gave me the shirt off his back: 'hey dude, put this on and you can skip the line!'

At the wiggling wienies camp I showed my noodley appendage to skip the line (i really wanted a hotdog).
If anything's worth doin....it's worth doin right... buy the ticket and take the ride. - RIP HST

in 09 we (Hubby and I) came upon a damsel in distress and untangled her from her bike, she invited us to breakfast at crepe camp but alas playa time happened and we never made it, this year I shall find you and conquer my crepe cravings !
Burning Man isn't about the stuff you see when you get there ....it's about the people that brought that stuff there
