Thanks John. I know we all have issues with insulation. Some think that the pink insulation in the way to go, while others stick with the standard yellow insulation. Myself, I like the insulation that starts as a liquid and foams up to a nice solid fit!

I thing we could surmise that everybody likes a little insulation, but not too many like isolation.

Well they shouldn't be. This is not just my thread. It's everyones! Seriousness as well as silliness is always welcomed.`If someone is having a day they'd like to forget, such as me

YAY!

I struggled for about a half hour last night trying to say something without being 'inflamatory" on that other thread and finally decided not to post anything. Good for you MA!

As for insulation, I've been working with this foil-covered bubble wrap which creates a nice reflective surface for an interesting look. It is kind of like being in front of a honeycomb that looks back at you.

If I might, predicting, maryanimal, I am feeling you will being just fine. And, know I be very good on predictions.

On other note, we here use very good insulation of old straw and cow dung. If thick and heavy, will make own heat.
It may not be so goodly for you and playa, even it work good here in winter time.

My dad used that foaming insulation for a while when we were making the Air Force plaques, then the price went up so we used cut form instead.

I'd like to have an Earthship home, which would use earth-rammed tires for insulation. Nice and cheap, and heavy duty. Labor intensive, though.

I didn't check in for a couple days and missed whatever happened in the other thread...

Ok! Time for a thread drift! (and anyone can start one at anytime!) I bought a coleman stove on craigslist. Very good condition for $20. However the one burner works great but the second burner won't light properly. Any suggestions?

often, it's crud in the manifold, or burner orifices (orofi?).
sometimes, lacquer thinner, or spray carb cleaner can clean that stuff out.

I haven't a clue what to do about your Coleman stove.

I'm trying to figure out what to do about the fact that I desperately to make a major change of direction in my life-- I need a new career and don't know as what. (And every time I have tried to use What Color is my Parachute, or the standardized tests at Job Service (and other places), they have all proved useless. Argh!

My eyes hurt-- I've been distracting myself by finishing reading Busted Flush-- a Wildcards novel edited by George R.R. Martin, and written by him and a bunch of his writer friends.

The Coleman stove burners have a small bolt in the top center. Remove the bolt and the burner is actually several "wafers" sandwiched together. Separate them and clean them with whatever solvent works. Maybe even use a wire brush if necessary. Check the orifice and use a pipe cleaner if needed. Put it all back together and it should work like new!

When I was 35, I spent time at the library looking at all kinds of occupations. I was blown away by the fact that there are more than "Doctors and Nurses" working in health care facilities. I eventually pursued the education which fit my interests and enjoy my dream job today. I sincerely believe nothing beats a good library today to gather information which directs you according to your interests and talents. It worked for me!

I should go to the library and find my perfect career. I'm too old to become a doctor, a tight rope walker, an astronaut, a page at the White house, but I always, always wante to drive a mining truck.

Insulated isolation makes me very insular, some would say clannish but that doesn't alliterate.

I've been trying to think of a career move - I love glasscutting and glazing but its not the best paid of jobs and doesnt come up often on jobs vacant sites.
i dont think poet pays that well either I might give street performance a go while the weathers good I bet i could get some change outside of ikea or just have fun at the local green.

it rubbish trying to find work this close to the burn *pah* i shal just enjoy the sunshine and play outside while the interwebs not working xx
