Room in RV
Room in RV
hello fellow burners...this is my 2nd burn this year and I rented an RV. As usual someone backed out and I have space for 1 more person in our 7person RV.
I am located in NYC so anyone in the general vicinity so we can meet and greet would be awesome...
Feel free to send me a pm and I will give you all the information in regards to the RV and pricing and dates.
It is a RV that sleeps up to 7 ppl and we are 5 currently. We are not looking to max out the rv as I did that last year and it was horrendous!
Hope everyone's having a wonderful day!!!
ciao

Try offering your RV space in:

I realize you've done this before once now, but there are some great ideas for RV House Rules here:

I'll bet your 2nd year will be a lot better. It virtually always is.

Re: Room in RV
I don't want to sound critical, but how many can sleep in an RV and how many can live (co-exist if you will) is a different question completely. I think 5 is about one too many. But maybe I'm just not as tolerant as some others.

I think it's less about how many you can squeeze in and more about how many can use it for a week without becoming homicidal.
Savannah: I don't know what it is, but no thread here escapes alive. You'll get 1 or 2 real answers at minimum, occasionally 10 or 12, and then we flog it until it's unrecognizable and you can't get your deposit back.

Re: Room in RV
Yep our RV seats 6.
It can sleep 6, but its in 3 pairs. So either people are couples, or don't mind being a little cozy.
BUT THATS JUST SLEEPING AND RIDING!!!!!
With 4 people living in it last year, it was tight! Once you figure in space for clothes and gear, it becomes tight!
What we didn't realize, is how how space all the beer and booze would take up!
If the RV is a brand new 40' Diesel rear pusher with triple slide outs (Think super star tour bus)it could handle 6 people for a week. But, I doubt you are renting something like that.
Have you ever RV'd before?
How many people? For how long? How close were you?

Re: Room in RV
I'm with the "never more than 4 people in the RV" crowd.
Hell, I'm the person who chooses to sleep on the "table/ bed" conversion thing, which the literature claims sleeps 2 & it fits me, and only me, just about perfectly (at an angle).
I wish you luck with your 6 people- I've done that many before & we near killed each other, even though we were all friends off the playa.

Re: Room in RV
You'd do best if you also pitch tents, for sleeping in when the RV has become party central and you need a disconap; and for costumes and changing... 6 folks flinging their gear around when you're trying to cook, or sleep, gets old really fast...

DO WHAT SHE SAYS!!!!
We know for a fact that our RV will not sleep all our campers. So pretty much everyone is tenting it. But, during that 9-11am time where the AC can keep the RV cooler for a couple hours, everyone is invited to come nap.
During nap time. Nap time is not smoking or talking or partying or chatting time. IT IS NAP TIME!

Re: Room in RV
Since you're just across the street from me, certainly you won't mind if I set off explosives at that time, right?

Re: Room in RV
O Doc, I thought you would have learned your lesson about explosives and fireworks at Burning Man. Tsk Tsk.
Plus, You'll be too busy *cleaning* the back of your RV by then.
