Great dome, and really nice mailbox there.
Savannah: I don't know what it is, but no thread here escapes alive. You'll get 1 or 2 real answers at minimum, occasionally 10 or 12, and then we flog it until it's unrecognizable and you can't get your deposit back.

My sweetie bought an old rusty Bill Mathews trike yesterday. Needs 2 new tires. The 3-speed works fine. Front brake is missing a shoe, but the coaster brakes work well. The chain-guard is intact. We need to find a basket for it. We're stoked. :D

Received our Thermos(s) in the mail (not sure how to make that plural)

and picked up a really nice Rayovac sportsman lantern. It runs on 3 D batteries and my honey and I were quite please with how bright it is. We tried out others and this one is really bright for the cost around 24 bucks and how long it will last (it states 72 hours on high) this should last us all week or darn close, considering we don't plan on spending that much time sitting at our camp site at night.

Checked the BM Facebook page a few times for relevant discussion; was greeted by dozens of posts from folks who are not very good at planning and preparation.

Washing the sheets we used at the regional. Considering going through the stuff for costume donation. Supposed to be painting.

Got dumped, so no worries about whether or not to stay monogamous when I go. Made $88 selling clothes. Going to mom's house tonight to make fig preserves for gifts.

Got my bacon print fabric in the mail today. Thinking of making a pair of bacon butt shorts, wish I would've ordered another yard or 2

Damn, CfM. I'm not sure whether commiseration or congratulations are in order. Please accept whichever you would like from the basket of c-words.

I used a c-word or two last night. It's both, with of course ultimate commiseration for the idea of love, now lost. It's just my fatal flaw, the broken heart.

De-mooped my Monkey hut (filed the stray burrs from when I halved the ribs) and drilled holes for screws on connecting pieces.

Dusted off all the BM crap that's been procreating in the garage.

Loaded up the car, it fits with a space ranging from 3"-6" just under the roof of the vehicle.

My secondary project will have to go in the NYC container, I packed it up and I'm slightly under the cu ft I purchased.

I'm going to have rearrange things to get a few incidentals in: realized I left one of the coolers out..... oh and clothes, food and water. I think I can do it as I have the passenger seat (albeit pushed all the way up) totally free.

I had the laptop out there and updated my packing/shopping lists significantly.

I'm elated I could get the hind legs of my primary project in, I thought they might not make it.

I'm really bummed I may not get the 2 lions in although I haven't given up yet.

I'm going to throw the bike rack on the back even though I dont plan on picking up a bike until Reno, hmmmm I wonder what I can put on that???

Checked my hiding place to make sure the ticket was still there.

Sic Pup, these lions that you speak of sound intriguing.

Bought the last of the el-wire that I'm going to buy this year. This time I mean it!

Found a place in this northern hick town where I could get heavy duty bungee cord by the foot, and heavy duty 1/2" grommets with installation tools. Looks like my dome canopy may work out after all.

O, and I have a Canada Post delivery notice on my front door today, I wonder which goody it is that arrived today!

Got my new DeWalt drill/driver today - yay for Li-ion batteries!

My new tool belt arrived as well. My thought is that I'll be wearing my Camel Bak most of the day and wanted another way to carry things and nice comfy tool belt seemed like a perfect choice for my map, goggles, beer, and maybe even a tool or two!

Got my damn disability checks finally! After spoiling myself with a pedi I came home and ordered the Kelty Car Tarp for a shade structure, a roof top storage unit for my car, and my recumbent bicycle I've been waiting forever for!!

Kelty Car Tarp is discontinued, discounted, and pretty neato, see here: http://www.mountainsports.com/msmain.as ... +Tarp+2010

This is the bike I'm getting: http://www.dickssportinggoods.com/produ ... Id=3618433

Picked up lights for the bikes, a bike rack, and an air pump.

Not a new item but I did finally get off my ass and re-fur/reglue old fur on my sweet bike. I just couldn't bear to part with all of the old fur on it; it's beautifully sun-bleached from years on playa. I added some new fur of the old same color and now it's a mix of shades of purples. I like it.

Did some damage at Big Lots, got lights and toys for my Rite of Passage themed bike trailer. tee hee. :D Also rode my cruiser bike around the neighborhood to break myself in. Planning to do that daily for the next--OH GOD--only 30 days?

Finished my core effigy art project, now need to get it to folks who can transport it to Monterey. Next it's ordering my night goggles--last time had to wear my day goggles at night and that SUCKED. Running out of time for Hong Kong shipments--maybe it's a good thing? Getting twitchy!
If you think you've overdone it, double it.

I've been doing this for a few weeks now but didn't mention it....thought it might be looked at as being a bit much. I can now do the 3 miles with only two small stints of riding ass off the seat, I wish the rest of me was as bony as my ass.

AMEN!!!

I went digging through some old stuff looking for Handy Objects and found: a sweet little brocade lipstick case, don't ask me why I even have it since I neer wear makeup  but, it's just the right size for several single-use tubes of eye drops, and, it has a mirror inside the lid, so I can see to put them in! Ha, I win!!!

Having a planning session with the Boyfriend tonight so we can get the final plan laid out so I can stop annoying him...I think he finally listened to my count down when I got to the 30's.

If we don't get to finish the lighted costumes would you all throw things at me for just wearing my LED hoop, a head light and glow sticks tied randomly around me?? :|

Thanks Misa! We are flying in so not much space for costumes either so this robe was the only costume I was going to wear but my bf was in charge of ordering the lights for it and he has yet to do so...I'm hoping everything will work out but planning how to light up for night time walking/riding in case it does not.

EDIT to add: Hi Doc!Thanks for hosting the MnG!!

HEY! LF! What do you guys need for your lights? Sorry for not getting back to you way back when.. I took a long hiatus from this place. I've used all I'm going to use and I've got tons left over if you want them. The wiring/soldering/planning though is up to you.. I could pass them to you at the next Brewery drum circle if you want
