Q. Choice of tents ?

Q. About choice of tents...in years past I have brought a Kelty dome type 4 man tent with rainfly. The fly covers an open fine screen at the top of the tent. The open top allows for ventilation, and is designed so that the tent can "breathe". Problem I see is that the screen lets the fine playa dust in i.e after the bottom of the tent is covered with playa dust. Wondering if I should get
a different tent...one without the open mesh screen, will it make a difference keeping my sleeping area a little cleaner ?

Hi there, like you, my Coleman tent has that mesh flap covered by the rainfly letting the Playa dust inside. I'm definitely looking for a zippered one.
