My personal hangover cure and energizer
Supplies:
Large, family-size can of Campbell's Tomato Soup
Tabasco sauce
Extra-virgin olive oil (unfiltered, if you can find it)
Directions:
Add one soup can full of water to soup, stir well. In a pot, of course :)
Add just enough Tabasco sauce to make your tongue tingle without actually causing it pain. It's a good idea to add the Tabasco in small increments, stir in well, and taste before adding more.
Add about 2-3 tablespoons of olive oil.
Warm up the soup over high heat, but DO NOT ALLOW TO BOIL. Stir often, test the temperature, and when it's good and hot, turn off the heat, pour soup into bowls or cups, and enjoy.
I made this for us and our hung-over neighbors. They liked it so much I had to make more, so next year I'm bringing more than three cans.

the step method
regain consciousness, down a large cup of potent coffee (French press method), eat a large bowl of Grape Nuts drowned in soy milk, have a 7Up, make a huge bowl of rice noodle soup, work in a Snickers, toy with a bag of salt & vinegar potato chips, Dr. Pepper time!, some Jiffy Pop, then end the day with some enchiladas or a Pop Tart.
You can bury a fatal hangover with food and drink overconsumption.
Every other one of the above steps can be interspersed with a cigarette or an Aleve, or both!
Guaranteed cure.

Being a veggie-boy, I don't eat menudo- but for me a nice spicy burrito in the morning does the job. On the playa I have to make do with the mediocre Trader Joes version, but it still seems to work.Sandwichman wrote:I am not sure how hard it would be to make on the playa but menudo is one of history's greatest hangover cures.

Followed by coffee, some water, and then Pickle Juice. Real Pickle juice. yum.

Always works like a charm
...before you head out for the night, morning, whatever set out (or if you are staying out, pack...) the following:
Water bottle
2 Aleve
1 B Complex (all the B goodies wrapped into one neat little pill...okay not so little)
When you stumble back to your tent...drink as much water as you can deal with and pop the trio. You'll be in MUCH better shape. Best off if you do this before the spins set in.
In the am...follow with more water, something spicy for lunch and rinse with pepsi or coke

Water is the key here, before drinking commences then... water. After drinking then.... water. Wake up then.... you guessed it water.
Sticking to a decent single malt leaves you with a cleaner hangover than a chemical laden evening of shooters, beers, wine, etc.
Interspersing your drinking with water is helpful but under no circumstances mix the whisky and water, no impact on your hangover it is just sacrilegious.
In the morning a strategic bacon roll can hit the spot and cure many woes
