Hi eplayers! I'm J.

Here's the thing. My travelling companion has had to withdraw from our planned road-trip and subsequent burn due to work commitments, leaving this little black Australian duck at a loose end for a week before the event, with my flight into San Fran all booked and paid for.

I'm happy to put myself at the disposal of (/throw myself at the mercy of) a theme camp with a spare early arrival pass, and can also offer my former co-conspirator's ticket at below cost price for any camp crew still lacking. Availability of transport from the Bay area of a devilishly good looking sort on a trike anytime after 8/20/11 would sweeten this mutually beneficial deal for said devil...

Correct me if I'm wrong oh learned ones, but from what I gather, retrospective arrangement of early arrival passes does not contravene the new rules regarding such, provided it results in actual effort towards the intended goal...?

Anyway, I'm good with my hands, low maintenance and enthusiastic.

From one aussie to another... good luck!

I hope the following helps...
1) Gate was offering some early entry passes for people doing lots of early shifts (but you must have an actual BM ticket). I think the cut-off date has gone past BUT do some research and look into it. I'm not leaving the url or other details on here - I'm sure your smart enough to work it out!
2) A lot of theme camps only have EA for the Fri or Sat before. You might have to try a theme camp with a BIG art project to get in as early as you wanted to.
3) Peeps don't seem that keen on giving up EA passes to people that they don't know - perhaps they have been let down in the past. That's a downer for you as you don't get a chance to make a good impression as you come from so far away.
4. If all fails, dump your bulky gear at a backpackers for a few days and catch a bus to Portland and back. I hear it's a nice city to hang in
