First burn!

Hello all!

SO this is going to be my first burn. I've read the guides on the website however I have a few unanswered questions. When I get there do I just pick anywhere to set up camp. I've read about the themed camps but I will be by my self in a tent. I would like to be on the outskirts of everything is this a hard spot to obtain? Will I be able to camp next to my truck or will I have to park it and walk in to my spot? Also if you have to leave BM before the event is over do you just head out the way you came in?

Yep, you can setup your camp next to where you park your truck. You can camp anywhere that isn't reserved for theme camps.

Here's a clear map for this year. http://www.burningman.com/preparation/maps/11_maps/ just click on it. You can park and camp anywhere, vehicle and car together, except reserved spots and the walk-in camp site. The walk-in camp site requires you to park your car elsewhere, I haven't worked out where that is yet, but you can just walk into this area with your tent.

If you zoom in on the gigapan map, starting at 5 o'clock, you can see the cars parked all along the walk in camping area.
