Virgin burner from vancouver looking for a camp

Post by allisonclairer » Mon Aug 01, 2011 6:47 pm

Hi!
My name is Ally and I'm from Toronto but have lived in Vancouver for a year now. My friend Cali and I are looking for a theme camp to join. We're fun, friendly, and pretty weird... so the weirder the camp the better ;)

Hope to here from you soon!

Ally

You know Ally, it might help if you told us more than "(we're) pretty weird". That hardly sets you apart on the playa. You see, some camps (like Barbie Death Camp & Wine Bistro for instance) require you to be at least 21, have something more than being fun to contribute, and frankly considering you're just now looking for a camp to join is hardly ringing praise on your preparedness for this event. Let me throw a few ideas out there (besides age): some camps care about your sexual orientation, some are vegetarian, some are alcohol free, some are not (well, most are not), some encourage nudity, some are family oriented (Kidsville for example), some are BDSM, and on the list goes. I've never seen a camp that specializes in weirdness so perhaps you should start your own. I don't suppose you're familiar with the term Sparkle Pony are you?

Welcome to ePlaya, Ally! Dr. Pyro makes a couple good points, especially when it comes to weird. That's a pretty subjective term, and there's a pretty good chance you're about to discover weird on a whole new scale. Be more specific about the things you may be looking for, and about what you and your friend bring to the table. We're starting to get really close to the event, and a lot of camps are already full and in that last home stretch to get things ready.

I'm going to move this thread over to the theme camps board, since I think that would be a better fit and you may have better odds at connecting with future campmates there.

Good luck!
