Need the gift of ideas!

Hi Everybody,

Helllllllp...

We are holding an event in our camp (Bullshit Department of Licensing) where people can personalize their own 'Black Rock City' bicycle license plate. Licensing your first vehicle is such a wonderful rite of passage! We need to get the plates ordered and are having trouble finalizing the design. So, I'd like to enlist some help in coming up with a 3-5 word phrase to run along the bottom of the plate. We've knocked around a few ideas like 'it's a state of mind', 'home to world's largest man', 'this is the last year', etc. But nothing is really wowing us, ya know.

Do you all have suggestions?

Savannah: I don't know what it is, but no thread here escapes alive. You'll get 1 or 2 real answers at minimum, occasionally 10 or 12, and then we flog it until it's unrecognizable and you can't get your deposit back.

A lot of state license plates like to call out the kind of state they are (show me state, sunshine state, keystone state, etc). so how about... State Of Mind

or... Leave No Trace

Forgot to mention that this is a really cool idea and I hope to find your camp in my travels.

I like both "safety third" and "state of mind".

On an overly paranoid note: it's August 2nd. How long is it going to take to get your plate run processed & shipped? (You may have an "inside" for this, I don't know). Most custom places I see want weeks to complete an order.

Sounds like some great ideas. But Eric's got a good point, depending on where you're ordering, there may be a long lead time.

So, I think we nailed it!!!! Since the plate goes on the back of a bike, our team decided on 'Eat My Dust'.

Well, we are shooting for the general area of 6:30ish & B,C or 5:30ish & C,F. Nock on wood - we don't set up camp until Monday.

Vehicles are a gold Chevy Silvarado and a silver PT Cruizer.

I hope you find us!!! We are planning doing our event Wednesday afternoon. If you run across us before Wednesday, stop by and we should be able to give you a more exact time.
