The feeling in the pit of my stomach is not good. We're hoping against hope that he's in an "institution" right now (CA law forbids telling if someone has been there without that persons consent) or at the VA (he's an Iraq vet)- same situation on finding out if he's there applies. Due to his sexuality he only has contact with one person in his birth family (his sister) who has come to SF to help.

Still fucking nothing on Mo. Searched for hours today, we had people from Pacifica to north to the Golden Gate Bridge along the coast.

My group spent 3 hours climbing through underbrush in Golden Gate Park flyering and talking to the homeless & joggers & dog walkers & the embarrassed looking men coming single file out of the bushes; then we went searching along the cliffs from Lands End to Baker Beach.

I am suppressing the feeling in my gut and fucking hoping against hope that he got committed & we just can't find out about it.

Yes, Ff, I'm ok but my left knee is killing me. It's swollen and feels like there's fluid in it. It's not getting better either. It fucking hurt like a fucking SOB! I live down stairs and I have to use the stairs multiple times a day. I've beentaking 800mg of Ibuprofen twice a day sometimes. Not a lot of pain free days in the past month. Fuck!

But it isn't going to stop my journey to the playa.

So, yesterday John and I left out of the apartment to spend the day shopping for Burning Man. We saw this huge, unmarked 16' truck parked across the street and there were four guys unloading literally palettes and palettes of luggage. The entire truck was FULL. Every bag was marked with the owner's name "Her Royal Highness Princess somebody or another"; which John immediately Googled to find out she was actually a Saudi Princess!

How the hell will we ever be able to keep up with the Joneses now!

He wasn't persecuted for being gay- well, not overtly. Had to hide it while fucking fighting two tours in Iraq for this fucking country & also lost contact with most of his family because of it; but he has a huge "made family" here in SF and across the country that loves him very much. People have been taking time off work & flying in from Washington state, from New York , from Texas to help look for him. They've actually got people flyering from San Diego up to Portland, and anywhere people might go who could have seen him.

The fact that the search is focusing more narrowly on the coast isn't looking good, but I'm still trying to keep hope up. I really don't want this to be the second year in a row I have to remember someone under 30 on the fucking Temple. I'm not posting anything but upbeat on fb.

I'm a small cog in this and have only even met him a couple of times- he had me laughing my ass off. He's the kind of person who has that effect on people, pure positive energy & charisma. You want him to survive this.
