Tarp over cargo van questions

Post by sharp.eleven » Tue Aug 10, 2004 11:43 pm

We plan on using a big silver tarp to cover an E350 cargo van that
will be used as a dust storm shelter and a place to store music gear.

If the tarp is guyed down directly on top of the van roof will it
damage or bleed into the finish?

To keep the inside below the boiling point is some type of pvc
structure necessary to elevate the tarp above the van roof?

Thanks,

Tarps

Think of the tarp as a big soft sanding block. The abrasive is the dust and the wind provides the action to sand your van down to bare metal. The only thing that should suprise you is how fast this happens.

And do not think about using PVC.
