Bring her down my friend. And you're right, those thieving SOBs should have their liquor supply which they generally simply steal cut off. Bastards.

Re: Barbie Death Village 2011: Tomorrow The World
Oh my God, I knew this was going to happen eventually. We have, as of now, eight people from our Village looking for tickets. Am I sympathetic? Not really. They were told in May this thing could sell out before August. The point is, we need some tickets. And I would imagine there might even be a modest "honorarium" in addition to the price (we're presuming $360) for your trouble. Considering all we have given (check out the hotel deal on the Share Resources thread) if any of you happen to have a ticket burning---as it were---a hole in your pocket, we'd be more than just modestly interested. You can deal initially with me so you know you won't have some brain-dead useless sparkle pony wasting your time.

Re: Barbie Death Village 2011: Tomorrow The World
This is for dues-paying Barbiebarians only: We have four early arrival passes up for grabs. You must already have your ticket and your dues have to have been paid. These passes absolutely will not go out to anybody not in our camp unless they are helping with the transportation of the infrastructure or are going to tune the piano (Thanks Oscillator).

Barbiebarians! We have secured 20 pounds of lumpia for our nightly feast. It looks like we will pick up another 10 pounds or so. We are looking for deep-fry cooks who are sober enough at midnight to cook up the lumpia without poisoning us all. Anyone up for the task?

Re: Barbie Death Village 2011: Tomorrow The World
We had a very successful work party in Loomis over the weekend. Met a handful of playa newbies who were intramental in getting the work on the mutant vehicle done in timely fashion. We will give it the test run next weekend and be good to go. We have set aside two (2) early arrival passes for anyone who can tow our trailer with our infrastructure to the playa and then back to Loomis/Newcastle. Apart from that, THERE ARE NO MORE EARLY ARRIVAL PASSES AVAILABLE. All were finally claimed over the weekend by some real troopers who were out there slaving away in the hot sun. Now we are still looking for about four more tickets to TTITD. Anyone?

Lumpia is a deep fried Filipino egg roll. It is heaven on the playa. If only if it could be wrapped in bacon it would be the perfect playa food. But some piping hot lumpia with oriental sauce and a couple of ice cold beers and you have the making of a near-orgasmic mouthful of whatever the hell they actually put in lumpia.

Or you can go to the oriental food market and buy it in five pound blocks frozen and ready for the playa.
Re: Barbie Death Village 2011: Tomorrow The World
as heavenly as that would be I will not have a deep fryer at my disposal on the playa

Lazerfox, that's just plain uncivilized, I swear. Well, tell you what, come by BDC&WB any night between midnight and 12:30 and I'll have one of our gourmet chefs fix some up for you. Nothing edible is better that I'm aware of at that hour. People notwithstanding.
Re: Barbie Death Village 2011: Tomorrow The World
Wow. Thank you for the generous offer Dr!

This young lady is a good friend of mine and her recipes are devine. Luckily for my waistline she lives too far away for me to just drop in around dinner time.

Loving the road trip!
In Vegas waiting for my friend so we can go to grand canyon. I don't like Vegas. I bet lumpia is much better than Vegas.

Re: Barbie Death Village 2011: Tomorrow The World
All right, we got our early arrival passes. I have sent them out to those of you who are not in the Sacramento-Newcastle-Auburn nexus and likely will not be at the pre-party. For those of you from overseas who are getting rides in from local burners, they will have yours. For example, MDF has Graidawg's pass; I have Melaniejane's pass. There are no extra passes. Period. If you live outside of California and did not get your pass, email me at james.jacoby@wellsfargoadvisors.com and I will check. There is always the chance (it seems to happen every year) someone might get screwed. So what? Getting in on Monday isn't all that bad of an alternative; think of all of the work you have managed to avoid.
Also it is getting late in the game to request space within the Village. If you don't know how to do that, and you're not severly retarded, email me and I will assist you in that task. We have plenty of room so don't be shy about what you would like.
And for all of you local burners, and this includes those of you from Burn Town, Camp Inspiratum, Seven Sins Lounge, and Camp Incognito, the fabulous Barbie Death Camp pre-party will be August 20 at my modest abode. Let me know if you'd like to come by.
We're having an art truck work party again this weekend. We need manpower. Let Laura know if you can make it.
See you all in less than three weeks.
Stay dusty my friends.

Grai... I printed out a copy of the BRC map, and have been writing in, in appropriate spaces, who and what is where and when.
I still don't have your location, but really hope to see you at the M&G on Thursday, if not before.

At the top of my WAY COOL map, things like the 'mail-on-playa' details, special events with times&locations,etc...
Just added: 'Graidawg- extra hugs for RIMA!!!' (I'm not in it for the points...)
Can't wait to meet you in (at least) three dimensions!!!
