Seriously, this is why I posted that link to the 2011 Operating Plan. If I came across it, I'm sure others would too, and so I posted here, asking specifically if this had already been covered and/or if the stipulations had been changed since the plan was drafted and submitted to the BLM. The quick response from the moderator was what I've come to expect from the BM community. The even quicker condemnations from some others regarding me posting publicly available information from an easily accessible government website with information pertinent to the topic of this forum was not so expected. Ah well, it's the internet. Anyway, here's to a great burn this year!

I have to say, though, this part of the response:

"Warnings went out (months ago) when that info changed, and that tickets would not be available at the gate."

is not exactly germaine to what I was bringing up. Of course information that gate tickets would not be available went out months ago, I was well aware of that, but the quote from the operating plan was not about the usual gate ticket selling, it was about keeping a small handful of tickets available for those who showed up without a ticket and had nowhere to go. This seems to me like a contingency plan UNRELATED to the usual gate tickets that have been sold in previous years, and this information was not broadcast, as far as I know. I could be wrong about that. OK, must look at something else other than a computer screen now.

You missed the bit in my post about you being welcome to discuss in either Politics & Philosophy or Open Discussion, so I've moved the thread for you. You can ponder the fine print on the old documents all you like, but with 2,000 new signups (just since tix sold out) who are desperately looking for any angle to get a ticket, it would be irresponsible to continue to have that discussion in the tickets wanted/offered board.
