I can hear the faint echoes of a voice saying something about not having it both ways, stridently voicing an opinion that seemed to have no substance in the present, being deeply rooted in some past transgression that most folks had long forgiven and forgotten. Seems a shame some folk can't just let stuff go. I can almost smell the old cigar smoke in the back there...

Such a long day today... feeling like I didn't get nearly as much done as I wanted. Trying not to let the feeling overwhelm me. Tomorrow will be better. It's just a dog damn camping trip in the desert, after all.

and um, edit to answer... my decompression started early. I didn't have the high high this year, guess that is a sign of familiarity? Computer on all day, just waiting for a conversation, you know? That's the hardest part of coming back, the loneliness.

After being whapped by one oak tree (name withheld) this has been the most interesting, perhaps unexpectedly difficult (on one hand) and awesome (on the other) decomp in a while... but there are things that make me smile like Cheshire Cat!!!
