AWESOME AUSSIES NEEDING A CAMP! - Happy to pay!!

Hey fellow burners!

We're a couple of crazy Aussie mates (22 year old chick and 29 year old guy) that have decided to embark on the adventure of a lifetime and join you all at the Burning Man this year!

After booking on a bit of a drunken weekend out, we are now starting to realize we probably need to bit a better better prepared and would love to join a camp! We are smart, honest and hardworking, and promise we will show you guys a great time!

Lexi:
I'm a crazy 22 year old female that loves to have a good time. I'm known as a bit of a party animal in Sydney and I'm always trying to get people laughing. I live for music and I'm into Dubstep, Happy Hardcore, Gabber, Drum'n'bass and heaps more. I'm heaps easy going, and I'm coming in with a very open mind. Just one thing, I can NEVER say no to a good dare and don't have a whole lot of shame, so be prepared if ya ask us to join your camp to have a fuckin good laugh (usually at my expense)!

Simon:
I'm a 29 year old guy from Sydney! I work in entertainment industry and work at many events and festivals, so when I found out about Burning Man, I knew I just had to go!
I have wanted to attend burning man for a few years now, but have had trouble finding another person brave enough to come with me. It's just lucky that Lex is as spontaneous and ballsy as I am so we said fuck it, and booked our tickets!
In my spare time I DJ (hard dance) and have played at a few events and parties in Sydney! Also love drinking and generally partying with my mates! Heaps easy going, always up for a laugh and I do not judge anyone, each to their own I say!!
I've heard great things about Burning Man and am hoping we find a great camp to give us an amazing first time, so we can bring the whole crew next year!
Looking forward to meeting lots of great people and taking home some amazing photos!

WHAT WE CAN OFFER:
- We have a hired a camper van for the duration with a shower/kitchen etc.
- We're bringing a heap of "convenience store" items, like batteries, toilet paper, condoms, panadol etc for trade.
- Simon is an awesome DJ! Would love the chance to spin the decks at BM!
- We're happy to help out with anything from bartending to backrubs!
- Happy to contribute financially!

more aussies here. From Tom Price Western australia. I was going alone now there are three. We are going with green tortoise. Our camp is at D and 6.30. Come check us out. As for what you have posted your Items may be gifted as I dont think TRADING is what they are trying to promote. You can look on the ride share board, you could find some more folks that would like the Aussie company.

Where are you staying in the US. If your in San Fran come have a drink!

Enjoy you first Burn - just a couple of notes:

1. As another poster mentioned - do you have your event tickets? For the first time in its history Burning Man has sold out and there are no tickets available at the gate. You can buy them on the secondary market - prices are still above face value but have been coming down. This is not like a concert - the nearest real city is 125km away and there probably WON'T be people standing at the gate selling tickets.

2. Your RV (Camper) will help a great deal but be sure to read the survival guide on the Burning Man website before you leave.

3. Your fellow campers will appreciate the things you are bringing to gift and will doubtless gift you many things as well, but the general assumption is that everyone has brought all of their food and water needs. Although food is also often gifted, remember that there are no food vendors of any sort so you should be self-sufficient. I would recommend simply going to a grocery store in Reno and stocking up, and also buying a couple of cheap styrofoam coolers and/or some dry ice. You CAN buy ice at Burning Man, and you can CAN buy coffee but that's it (really! - no joke). Please don't come expecting to trade supplies for meals or water - it's not in the spirit of Burning Man. Remember, the spirit is gifting, not barter.
