I keep meaning to do that too. But by the time i get to sit down on the computer after I get home from work, i'm too tired. It's the week of our leave date!!!!! Grai... I printed out a copy of the BRC map, and have been writing in, in appropriate spaces, who and what is where and when.
I still don't have your location, but really hope to see you at the M&G on Thursday, if not before.![]()
At the top of my WAY COOL map, things like the 'mail-on-playa' details, special events with times&locations,etc...
Just added: 'Graidawg- extra hugs for RIMA!!!' (I'm not in it for the points...)
Can't wait to meet you in (at least) three dimensions!!!

We're trying to get a handle on who's coming along for the caravan Saturday. We are picking people up at the CA Gold Run rest area (exit 143) at 9:15, Sands Regency in Reno at 11:00, and the gas station in Wadsworth around noon before heading into Nixon for Indian tacos. Let me know if you'd like to be part of the Playa Party Caravan.

Re: Barbie Death Village 2011: Tomorrow The World
A number of the Shangri-Playans (a new theme camp in our Village) are from L.A. but that's not exactly Escondido now is it? If you're there before noon maybe you can help Drew, Mindy, and Kristi map out the Village. And damn it, this year make sure the shower is in front of my RV and not hidden behind some trailer or something. Most useless pair of binoculars in the world I tell ya.

Have managed to purchse a seemingly excessive amount of alcohol for the BDC stop on the naked bike ride! I'm sure it will get drunk
Hope there's lots of room in the RV Doc....
The sands regency is full of burners and ge excitement level is high.
Purchased some prosciutto - thought it would be sliced thinly like at home - oops they don't do it thin at - So now I have sooo much proscuitto that I'll be looking for some helpers to eat all the piggy salty goodness.

Re: Barbie Death Village 2011: Tomorrow The World
Barbiebarians! Now that we're home and hopefully dusted off and tempers have calmed from the fustercluck that was exodus, I have but a few modest requests.
1) If you were in our camp but are not on the email list, please PM me with your info.
2) If anybody remembers the name of the lady from Vegas who was "expelled" from her camp and taken under our wing (Renny, or something weird like that) and furthermore how to get hold of her, please let me know.
3) We are looking for people for 2012 to head up various committees (set-up, Pancake Feed, M&G, Naked Bike Ride and Pub Crawl, and most importantly Exodus/Clean Up) because frankly, I'm sick of doing it (or dropping the ball on it).
But I want to thank you, each and every one, for a wonderful year. Special kudos go out to Felony Arson, though sweetie, please stop yelling at me. MyDearFriend for the M&G co-ordination. Melaniejane for the "help" you got us at the end. Stu and Laura for your selfless help on the art truck. Cap'n Joe for your work and dedication to the fire effects. Texas Joe for a great job with the Day Spa. John and Hillary for schelping out our piano and water. Graidawg for his continual limey lightheartedness. Tamara and Ken for just kind of keeping it real. Wildman for the liquid nitrogen. Misa for not poisoning me this year. Kara for your "git er done" attitude and adjusting the dress code in camp to a new level. Drew and Mindy for your energy and pre-work, and same thing to Tracy and Janice. Luis from Boosh for his artistic expertise. Ygmir for hauling our stuff to and from the playa. Frank the Vintner for, what else, the wine. And finally, Blowfish for putting up with the likes of me now for 13 years on the playa.

Hey BDV!
Anyone from Boosh on here?
They made amazing neighbors!
If we get placement at 3:28 and G on the Man side, I'd like to humbly request that Boosh get the BDV corner at 3:32 and G, in 2012.
The gal with the megaphone complementing/heckling passers by was outstanding. More than once she pulled me out of an almost endless nap.
Next year we plan to bring a mega phone, so that we can "Dual Heckle" people as they walk/ride up or down 3:30.

(((Doc))) BDC is absolutely the place to be
I had a great time and felt completely at home.
Illy Dilly, I swear I walked back and forth through that corner to the JOTS at least 3 times a day for 10 days straight and never knew you were there.
I never heard the megaphone, either...
Next year, next year I swear I am going to stand at that corner and shout for you.

That sucks!
We had a red dome with white spots, sorta like a Mario mushroom.
We had a little tan (it was supposed to be white) fence going around the front of our camp.
We also had my tie dye Colorado flag. I found out what throws people off is that since its tie dye all the colors seem a little washed out. So instead of dark blue bars at the top and bottom they are light blue, and the red C looks more like a pinkish-red.
Did you ever check out that big star thing that was across from us and caddy corner to Boosh? They would put super low bass into the stand, so when you were in the star the whole thing would vibrate and hum. Sadly, it was across the street for 7 days and I never tried it

Re: Barbie Death Village 2011: Tomorrow The World
We had a perfectly lovely time. We wish we had gotten to know a lot of you better, it seemed when we were in camp we were involved in something like schlepping drinks to naked men, painting boobies for five hours, picking up trash, picking up trash, and oh, picking up trash, that we never did get to really just sit and visit much. It was fun and the perfect camp to start off with. Barbie Death Camp rocks!
