Great Gift! Save BM from Portapocalyse!

Post by karlbaba » Thu Aug 18, 2011 12:20 pm

I was in a hot enclosed location without toilet paper and thinking about Burning Man and thought of a great gift some can choose to offer that is cheap and would save many people from discomfort or worse!

At certain points of the burn, many portapotties inevitably run out of Toilet paper. It's good to have your own supply for such moments but if many of us brought a case of extra rolls to put in the crappers, it would save many people from running from potty to potty, or from using the wrong materials, or from waiting too long for the few crappers with tissue left.

Even worse, sometimes one thing leads to another and things get messy in there, and this further complicates things as people get grossed out and "hover" clumsily over the seat, and after particularly crazy night, the crappers suffer from what I call "Portapocalyse" This takes various horrible forms but you'll know it when you see it.

So if you want to take things to the next level, bring a pair of rubber gloves or a sponge on a stick and make things nicer in the crappers before full-on doomsday hits. It would make everyone's burn so much better. Not a task for everyone perhaps but if you can hack it and really want to serve...

The portapotties are where many people have revelations and also horror stories at Burning man. Serving at the lowest level inspires at the highest level and this can also apply to music festies in general. Yes it's somebody else's job but shit happens.

Have a rite of passage and awesome Burn

the Crap Sucking truck lords and ladies would probably want me to mention that we should buy septic friendly Toilet Paper to supplement the paper supply. It's not more expensive and saves trouble on the sucking and processing end of the game.
