I just moved to the high desert recently and am getting used to the dry environment. I do a lot of web surfing looking for cargo container architecture ideas and sites with info on geodesic dome building. When I started to see Burning Man links I checked those out too. Have always liked the concept and plan to attend someday. I thought it might be this year but saw it was sold out and I'd need more time anyway to prepare.

Hope to make it for 2012 and figure the earlier I get in the loop the better. Warm regards to all for this year's event and am looking forward to to taking part in the future.

Hi Lance, welcome to ePlaya! Congrats on the move and getting acclimated, and hopefully you see a few good threads in the Q&A forum about domes and other structures.

Thank you, trilobyte. I'm sure I will find some interesting resources. One can tell from photos of past events just how creative this community is. I am also quite fond of the concept of sharing knowledge and info in order to assist others. It's a whole "pay it forward" type mindset.

I've always found that the best teachers are ones that can share their own enthusiasm for a subject.
