I've seen mention of folk bringing shelf-stable pre-cooked bacon.

Can that be eaten right out of the package?
I've never had it but I'm thinking it might be nasty if not heated (congealed fat?).

I did look on the package and noted it needed to be refrigerated after opening and shouldn't be stored in temps >75f so it needs to be coolered.

I usually stay away from over-processed stuff but it wouldn't be BM without bacon. I won't even think about dealing with bacon grease and the stuff I pre-cooked, coolered for a week and ate straight out of the cooler last year left something to be desired. I did a batch of candied bacon on a test run and it was okay but not quite the same.

Q: Why is up 'up?' And why is down 'down?'

Also, how do magnets work?

magnets work by blocking the particles that push everything, every direction, at the same time. They align and create a "vacuum" between the object and the magnet.

no, wait, that's gravity.........

never mind.

Costco carries these in the spring. I bought mine years ago at a Home Depot.

and question #2. You know that green carpet stuff that looks like astro turf that RVer's usually have as a "patio", of you will, under their awning area. What's it really called and where do you get it? Home Depot? Lowes?

We picked up a couple of those turfy rugs at Costco in spring, bound edges, made of recycled pop bottles and incredibly SOFT!

If you're paddling upstream in a canoe and a wheel falls off, how many pancakes fit in a doghouse?

You must all be psychics then! How did you know I did a 45min orienteering challenge, then sped walk the equivalent of 20 city blocks to find a bathroom for a 6 year old that practically had an anxiety attack at the suggestion of peeing in the bush? I think I can only brag about the fact she DID NOT pee her pants, phew! :P
