It would be far more entertaining if he were just serving raw vegans*...![]()
I'm with ya. Our neighbors in 2009 were Vegans, they invited us over for dinner one night. It was delicious. They cooked up all sorts of really fancy Vegan food. It tore us up! My body was not ready for that much fiber or something.jkisha wrote:I'm with you there. That's one diet choice I just don't understand.

I'll say it again: when we run out of cows, I'm heading for the grain-fed hippies!OregonRed wrote:*No offense meant to my vegan friends
Not all us vegans (or mostly vegans) are hippies. Just an FYI...The CO wrote:I'll say it again: when we run out of cows, I'm heading for the grain-fed hippies!OregonRed wrote:*No offense meant to my vegan friends
I know... I'm very careful not to use hippie and vegan as synonyms. And again, vegan I can respect and almost understand.Eric wrote:Not all us vegans (or mostly vegans) are hippies. Maybe we should tell them that "raw-food" is "anti-fire" and they should be someplace else.trilobyte wrote:Maybe they're using the banner of raw food chef for the sympathy? So this friend's nephew, we'll call him Bill, Bill is a vegan, traveling on the cheap and knows that there's good free veggie food at the Krishnas if you put up with a little BS. So Bill pulls up one night for a free meal and one of the full-on Krishnas with the saffron robes and the top knot and everything starts to chat him up, looking for a chance to make the Pitch. And Bill listens for a bit, and the Krishna (with the saffron robes and the top knot and everything) says, "Are you used to vegetarian food?" And Bill says, "Yes, as a matter of fact, I'm a vegan." Krishna's never heard of that so he asks, "What's a vegan?" and Bill explains to the Krishna (with the saffron robes and the top knot and everything) that not only does he not eat meat but he doesn't eat other animal products either.
The Krishna (say it with me now, with the saffron robes and the top knot and everything) looks at Bill and says,
"Man, that's just weird"
