I had cramps last week, and I hoped, I hoped, I hoped for the "main event." Unfortunately, I"ve pretty much been terminally infected with attitude.AntiM wrote:Dammit, I'm jealous, all I have is bloat and cramps and a bad attitude.delle wrote:Guess what I just got????

Re: Crimson Tide
If tonight's cramps and queasiness are any indication, I'm about to have a period or give birth to a bad tempered fire salamander.
I want to kill something just to watch it suffer more than me. (Wow, as humor goes, that doess't come off well online.... yikes)

If my calculations are correct, mine should be arriving about the time the Man burns. Rarrrrrrr

Re: Crimson Tide
Well, I was right - day of the man burn. I'm impressed I was able to predict it that accurately. But you know what, it wasn't any more of a pain than at home. Sure, slight annoyance, but didn't make my burn any worse.

Re: Crimson Tide
Mine waited until mid-week, then flowed so heavily I had to go begging for spare supplies. Mercifully short, but I felt like I was having three at once.
I just like to bitch about it, makes me feel better. Thanks for listening. I'm quite sure at least one person wanted to just kick me to shut me up.

I started 2nd day. And although it was a project to deal w that and work, I'm vehicle mobile and I LIVE at porta-potties. Paper lunch bags rock! I gifted the rest of my supplies to DPW at the end of the event. It's a HUGE gift for the girls, believe me.

I put all my used stuff in a zip-lock I'd pre-covered with duct tape to make it opaque (I don't care who sees, but some of my campmates have more delicate sensibilities than I). Worked out well.

Re: Crimson Tide
In all seriousness, I would recommend Burners that surf the red waves while on playa invest in a reusable menstrual cup. Two of them, so you can replace your used one with a clean one in the potties, then take the used one to clean in the comfort of your camp.
Obviously get accustomed with it off playa beforehand, though. There is a bit of a learning curve involved.

I'd pay good money to see their health inspection video.

With all the new burners, this ancient thread needs a good bump. Full of TMI and good info.
