I was kind of surprised to see this bit of news buried on the page of the Chronicle, and not even mentioned on the national news - apparently Google's paying all the right people.
Google Settles Pharmacy Ad Probe For $500 Million
Apparently, Google got busted for knowingly allowing all those Canadian Pharmacies to use their engines for spam delivery (those fuckers!). Busted so bad that they're forking over half a billion dollars in penalties. They've a long way from the 'do no evil' days...

They can pretty much do what ever they want!
People say that the world is going to end in 2012. But they are wrong, Mayans predicted a super merger between Home Depot, Google, and Wal-Mart, and that will be the end of the world.
It will create the super power Home-Google-Mart, it will be so powerful that not even Apple or McDonnalds will be able to fight its forces. From there it will take 7 years before you either work for Home-Google-Mart or have been slain by Home-Google-Mart.
