I think my record mail delivery in one day was 17 pieces! I'm trying to beat
that this year.

No you do not need to be in BRC in order to send mail or packages. Send from anywhere in the US (or the world, though international delivery times might get dicey) using the following format:

Person Name c/o Camp Name
Burning Man street address, BURNING MAN FESTIVAL
BLACK ROCK CITY / GERLACH, NV 89412 U.S.A.

Make sure the label is legible/easy to read, and ideally the person/camp you're sending to has some kind of sign posted someplace.

As Ranger Beauty suggested, don't send it until after the 15th. When it gets to the playa, the unsung heroes at the BRC PO will do their best to deliver it.

I am a philatelist who wants to be a playaphilatelist and therefore I need some "Playa Mail" from the BRC Postal System. So how do I send you something in order to get some great BRC or theme envelopes back? Since the USPS does not work well in conjunction with a no money economy and since I cannot get BRC postage stamps along with my groceries down at Smith's or Raleys, do I send pre stamped usps envelopes and a bribe, er, consumables, or do I send a whiny little note saying that I am from Nigeria and I collect money from foreign countries and paper and high value coins are my favorites? (and get a nasty letter back (stamped from the playa) telling me what to do with my request...)

I realize that poor planning on my part does not create an emergency on your part, but time is running out for this year so please let me know,

My Dad enjoyed Burning Man for many years and was a part of the Art Car Camp. Even though he is no longer at BRC in person, his truck will be making a trip there in the future.

A Philatelist is the $5 word for stamp collector.
[French philatélie : Greek phil-, philo-, philo- (love) + Greek ateleia, exemption from payment (because a postage stamp indicates prepayment of postage)

And, No, I wasn't the one who sent you the letter asking for money for my sick uncle, that was my cousin.
