Special Temple Burn

Post by geospyder » Tue Sep 06, 2011 9:47 am

This year was the first time I'd ever written anything on the the Temple. I left a message for my brother knowing that he wasn't expected to live more than another couple months at most. About an hour after writing the message the BRC Rangers found me to let me know there had been a death in the family. It was my brother. Needless to say, aside from spending the last four months working with a great group of people building the Temple, the burn had a very special meaning to me. RIP Larry 1947-2011

Over the years the temple has helped me to heal...I hope it offers you the same relief.

I offer my condolences as well.

But that...is one of the more moving things I've read on here. Wow.

Powerful, thx for sharing.

I left something for a cousin who died in 2010. The Temple and it's burn was the highlight of BM-2011. Big-shout-out to all involved in creating this masterpiece.

Peace,

BM

Sorry for your loss.

When I was a kid I used to pray every night for a new bicycle.
Then I realized that the Lord doesn't work that way so I stole one and asked Him to forgive me

Sorry for your loss. Amazing that you wrote on the temple just before the rangers found you. Thoughts and prayers for you and your family.

Please accept my condolences, geo. Thanks for all your hard work on the Temple this year- it was an amazing homage to your brother. Next time I see you, tell me a story about him.

this years remple was special indeed . for me, it finally gave me a place to lay my nana to rest . my aunt took her ashes after she died and dissapeared from my life . do there has ben no site for me to visit . untill now . it ment so much to me to wright a message to her and to feel her presence with me on the night of the temple burn . it felt right that i should take her there to put her to rest for me, i live in reno and the playa is relatively close , so i can visit her site any time i need to .

in closeing

to the temple crew and all those who were involved in its creation . i want to thank you from the deepest recesses of my once wounded soul . to tell you how you have helped heal a deep scar in me that i thought could never BE healed, that truly no feble words could ever describe the positive effect you have had on thousands of people , or the love and compassion for your fellow burners .

i Frosty Bitchgiggles thank you all
p.s keep burning .and keep safe

geospyder,

My heart is touched, and I reach out my arms in a tender hug that soothes the souls that have been reminded of how beautiful the journey of life is and that our existence of now is because of all the awesome people whom have gave us a bit of their life while we were with them.

I'm sorry to hear of your brother's passing. *hugs*

Thank you for being part of something so amazing to the whole community while going through such personal hardship. This years Temple was healing for a lot of us, and I'm one of "those" people who usually doesn't feel that attachment to it.
