While the weather on the playa was as close to perfect as I'd ever seen, the winds of spam were blowing something fierce here on ePlaya. A few of us had even been popping in now and again to help dig through some of it, but WOW we got hit hard. Apologies to those who got hit hard, I think we're getting our arms around it now that we're all getting back to the land of technology and internets. I think we got the 1000+ spam club members, and I caught an account this morning that had been blasting some PM's as well. Huge thanks to all who flagged and reported, it really does help!

Nice to hear this. Sometimes I feel like I'm the only one reporting some of it, so it's nice to be appreciated.
Question: Do you have the ability to zap all posts by spammers at once? Or, if not, can you do the "show all posts" thing and go through at once. Some of these people post far more than I can flag, or that I'm willing to flag at one time. I'd like to know if I should put in an extra five minutes to point out multiple threads from one spammer.

No really, every little bit helps. Once even a single posts from a spambot account has been flagged, one of the mods can dig up info about the account and the post that are needed to get it put onto a banlist. I have the bulk zap power, but the others do not (though searching all posts by a user makes it much easier to chase them down once the account has been determined to be a spambot). We're also much more aggressively adding spammer accounts to our banlists than we were a few weeks ago.
