cricket on the playa

hola my burny-type friends.

for the last two years, i have organised a game of cricket at Black Rock City. this year, alas i cannot make it to the playa, so hopefully somebody can step up to the crease and take this on. most likely it'll be someone from the cricket playing countries of the world, but perhaps you're an american with a perchant for dressing in white and hitting a little red leather ball about with a bat of willow.
trust me, it's a simple process which BRCitizens seem to love (and really, who doesn't love cricket?). just bring along a cricket bat, a ball and something to set up as stumps. the pitch can easily be drawn into the playa surface with your foot and then it's just a matter of picking up some players. i swear within minutes, you'll have yourself a full field, and then it's just a matter of explaining the rules. it seems to me easiest if this is done whilst the game is in full swing.
and plus, just think how good a costume your whites and pads would make?
