We've got space reserved for Refuge and the ODOT lots ("Black TopCity"). This means tons of open space for large theme camps, mutantvehicles, fire arts, along with covered space for bands, music, fullbar and more over the weekend at Refuge.

We are hoping earlier in the season will increase our chances ofawesome weather, either way Refuge offers a great indoor (covered)space, only two blocks from the North ODOT lot.

Burnout is an interactive arts festival that considers
community and transformation of interior city spaces.

We've got space reserved for Refuge and the ODOT lots ("Black TopCity"). This means tons of open space for large theme camps, mutantvehicles, fire arts, along with covered space for bands, music, fullbar and more over the weekend at Refuge just a short two blocks awayfrom the main site.

I had a blast. Didn't know anyone there until a blonde with a megaphone and a redhead with a flask of Makers Mark ran up behind me shouting "Foxfur, Foxfur!". Friends of a friend who I'd been wanting to meet forever. I made seared Spam on a diesel burning smudge pot and handed it out to hungry burners. Great music and fire arts. I parked my trailer on the street and camped there. Pretty cool, never camped in a downtown industrial area before. A homeless dude mistook the trailer for a food relief operation. I gave him a PBJ tortilla. I was joking around and asked him if he wanted tabasco sauce on it and he said hell yeah! He wolfed it down. I put some on mine and it was really damned good.
I think the event was a huge success.

Oi! I was standing next to you for a brief while (around 2:30a). We were at the fire in front of Northwest Mist. I was going to say "Hey!" but three things got in the way.

1. You were talking to a pretty young lady, and why the hell would I interrupt that?
2. I was incredibly, deeply, horrifically drunk, and how is that a place for first impressions?
3. My ladyfriend had suggested we go get voodoo donuts... and how can I say no to that?

Decomp was a blast! I'm a little sorry I did it up like a weekender, just showing up in the evening to hang out, dance and drink. Perhaps next year I can spent a little more time and effort on doing up Black Top City.
