They look real to me. I wish I was an 2XL not a medium. (well, only so I could buy that and wear it, not so I would be a big person)

This type of item should be gifted/bartered to another ranger. Gee, wonder why he's getting rid of his ranger stuff?
Unless he's strapped for cash and is selling anything which isn't nailed down. Still, ooky.

It's hard to imagine a former Ranger making this auction. I almost wonder if it's an ex-mate, or ex-roommate. Someone who found the items in shared property.

Isn't 2XL a bit small for your average BRR?

For some reason people sometimes confuse me with a ranger -- are they all old? I'm offered free coffee at center camp, which is the only benefit I've found. (Yes, I decline the freebie and pay. Sheesh.)
People are gullible. If they think you're a ranger and you prank'em, you could probably have some fun. I'll leave that to the imagination.

That's the silliness of it, to me. Of course, I'm not up on this, but it's just some khaki clothes with some patches. And a tee-shirt or two (hey! I have one!) If you wanted to, you could do it (or have it done) well enough. Unless there's been some sort of change since I took 3/4 ranger training.Ugly Dougly wrote:Uh, where do real rangers get their uniforms?

If you make ranger, they issue you a shirt or two, and the hat.

Here's a tip: rangers act like rangers. Fake rangers act like wannabe cops.
I have a yearly tradition of being mistaken for a ranger on burn night. Often by actual rangers. The more I dress not like them, the more likely...

I want to be a Danger Ranger, I think I've got about 8 or 9 posts. Do I need a segway?
Re: Here's a tip: don't get scammed by a fake BRC Ranger
I've actually got a couple of old ranger uniforms, gifted from a good pal who was a ranger back in 2000 or so. It was great fun to run some of the camp concessions (bondage stuff, other kinky sex stuff) one day during the week all dressed up as a ranger. 'Course, I only did it for amusing ruse and reactions, you know, fuck shit up and all that. if anyone asked I'd tell them the truth and if there was some kind of emergency I'd drop everything and help them find a proper ranger.
Re: Here's a tip: don't get scammed by a fake BRC Ranger
One day, late in the week, there was a German guy hanging out with my neighbors in a ranger shirt, and hat.
He would heckle passersby: Bike riding by nice and slow... "Slow down!" Hot young girl walking by: "Are you carrying any weapons?"
etc, it was hilarious.

If in doubt, ask them what FLAME stands for.
