I made some of the tags early on, then when making the rest, saw that some people changed their avatars, so I made new ones for them. I also did duplicates for some people I thought might bring spouses that weren't on eplaya.

Anyway, glad you liked them.

Always next year! I always look forward to the M&G--it's one of the highlights of my burn.

You are more than welcome.
I don't think I like my avatar that big, there's nothing subtle about it anymore.
On the plus side, those larger avatars will look good on next years name tags!

I think I'm going to put that avatar in my signature trip tic and find something else for my avatar..or just revert back to the little guy.

On that note, I agree there is not enough time!
I also think Thursday is a little late for the MnG, by then half the week is over. But if it were any earlier, folks arriving late might not be able to make it.
Maybe next year there needs to be some sort of ePlaya "Check in and drink up" earlier in the week. Maybe Tuesday afternoon or something.
That way we can find folks we're looking for earlier in the week.

Or maybe just some sort of Big piece of paper/board at the back of BDC where ePlaya folks can write down where they are. I know this task is already handled at 'playa info' but that place is always so damned busy, and ePlaya dedicated board would be much easier.

I wholeheartedly agree with both of these. An earlier in the week event plus a main event later in the week would be pretty cool. A dedicated registry/manual message board at BDC would be awesome too.. so that that we could have one place that we all know where to go to send/receive/leave messages for anyone else.

It seems most of ePlayans are on the early side of town. If it weren't for that, I would suggest Retrofrolic could host a Tuesday get together. It would be a reason for some of you to venture over to the dark side,,,,,

A second eplaya night sounds cool. Aside from the man and temple burns the M&G was the only thing I had planned that I didn't miss.

Hopefully next year I will get to visit all your camps. I planned to this year, but well you know how planning goes on the playa.

It's hard enough for most people to make one M&G, let alone two! If there were two, I'm thinking less people would actually connect as half the group would choose one night and the other half would choose the other. Definitely not a good idea, IMHO.

What we need to do is make sure that the one night is kept special AND PRIVATE! (Especially if we want to continue with the potluck.

M&G has been where it is for many, many burns... It took a lot to schedule so I could make it this year, sometimes you gotta triage just what is more important in your burn. It's kinda unfair to expect someone who gifts something this awesome to provide a second gift to appease someone's entitlement issues... maybe that sounds harsh, but it's not unlike the person who demands they get XXX as a gift rather than being grateful for the gift they received.

Well, looked at in that light it does make more sense to leave things as they are. I really like BDC and they did a great job hosting it.

Sometimes my enthusiasm just gets the best of me and the thought of 2 eplaya events sounded great, wow 2x the fun!But as you point out is probably not a wise choice.

Have we considered that Illy Dilly + Junglesmacks = Ladyhawke?

By day, Illy rides artcars with a falcon on his arm. But this is no ordinary falcon! (He wears Hunter S. Thompson shades and is covered in LED lights).

By night, Junglesmacks roams with a mysterious wolf he claims is from the Pershing County K-9 unit. Although--when did the K-9 unit start sporting holsters & blue foam swords?

THe Booby Bar has, at times, served as a safe ground for lots of eplayans meeting. Alas, no more. And without knowing what Terminal City will put forth in its absence, I cannot say that we would serve as a fallback. Perhaps jk's or well, there must be other venues. We could have two boards, perhaps. I dunno, spitballing.

I have already offered our space.
I don't think it's a good idea to have two M&G's though; and I'm fine with it being at BDC as long as the good Doc can make it a PRIVATE party if we are going to once again bring food.
Otherwise, we can provide a whole lot of amenities not otherwise available at BDC in addition to making the event open only to eplayans and guests.

Since I have begun spinning off my huge list of responsibilities (or perceived responsibilities) to others---to wit, MDF was "in charge" of pot luck logistics---dare I suggest that jkisha or anyone else who has a clear idea on how to keep it private (at least the food part), do it! I and MDF and everyone at BDC would welcome the help! (And if a few of you were to stay around afterwards to actually help clean up the gawd-awful mess that is inflicted upon us every year that would be so much appreciated.) Honestly, if I did next-to-nothing short of pouring absinthe and getting constantly turned down by the women I hit on, that would be fine by me! I'm sure Felony, Bluemandrew, Jella, Misa, Maryanimal, MDF, Graidawg, and the rest of the reprobates who haunt our fair camp would love to have the help and input. I know I surely would.
