Big thumbs up to Ugly and myLarry
Elderberry

When I was a kid I used to pray every night for a new bicycle.
Then I realized that the Lord doesn't work that way so I stole one and asked Him to forgive me

:) Yes I am. The journey itself was quite ok. Was worried because on the flight from SF to Paris I was next to little baby and this could turn to hell...the baby was ok, just the parents were terrible.
The flight was good, didnt feel like 15 hours.

Right now I am waiting if my suitcase arrives...one of them decided to stay in SF little longer :D

Big hug to you...I loved to hug you on playa!!!

For general information, OregonRed is out of the hospital after surgery, we are home safe. She is groggy & sore but doing well. Thanks to all well wishers!

Guess I missed the part about needing surgery or anything more than fading tan lines from OregonRed,,,, probably need to step into TheBar once in awhile.

But so glad things are going well! Hang in there CO,,, she's fortunate to have you!

I opened up my ecology lab manual to read the section for my first lab this year. In it was an example to explain different statistical methods we needed to use in the course. It was about counting the number of eggs in chickadee nests found in different locations. I thought I was hallucinating when I read the "location" names: Black Rock City, Center Camp, Station 3, Station 9, Gerlach, and Arctica. Of course you would never find birds living at Burning Man, but it reminded me so much of home, especially since I haven't fully decompressed yet. I brought it up with my TA and he's going to ask the lab coordinator (who wrote the lab manual) about it. Maybe I've found another burner! They're so hard to find in Edmonton...

Percocet helps a lot. Having great friends pulling for me helps even more. The CO has been taking excellent care of me and when he cannot (because he's WORKING WOOT!) a close friend of mine who is an RN is taking fantastic care of me. I am healing quickly, and am looking forward to being pain-free for the first time in over eighteen months.

I was marveling to The CO about the amazing support, love and acceptance y'all have shown me. I wish I had bigger words than just "Thank you" and "I love you". It means so very, very much to me to have so many awesome people that I can call my friends and family. I know I am healing more quickly because of all the love I've got coming at me from all y'all.

MA, thanks for starting this thread. It's so fantastic to have a place to go to hear about and share the good stuff.

My friend Mish is coming up for the night. Sweeptea said "Have her park her trailer next to yours and you two can do your trailer park thing...".
We're calling it the first annual Snooseville Decompression. Gonna be cooking spam w/ the flamethrower, do some serious shooting, light off some fireworks, play music real loud, and have a bonfire to end all bonfires, it should be a night to remember.
I'm so glad she kicked her BF down the road. She is so much happier and outgoing now and can come out to play anytime she feels like it!

Yay!
