Re: Next year's theme?
Default World? Wow, that theme works for me. My mind is spinning with exciting ideas.
The streets cold be set up like suburban developments. Art cars roaming the playa could look like standard Chevys, Buicks and Fords. I have a closet full of clothes that I never thought would get use on the playa. On a cool Black Rock City night, I could wear slacks, brown loafers and a cardigan sweater.
The Boutique at Center Camp could be stocked by Marshalls and J.C. Penny.

I was thinking De Sotos, Studebakers, Packards, and Ramblers. Or older. Maybe the odd REO truck or Chalmers Tractor. All built on a golf cart chassis or smaller (unless they're the real deal)...Shambala wrote:... Art cars roaming the playa could look like standard Chevys, Buicks and Fords....

Plus you got the NWVS people up there... I ever get space again, I'm gonna build another. Got the parts, need the room to build!

I don't know if Cryptofish is male or female, and I don't care about his/her life experiences. We ALL have life experiences. I DO know that when I read his/her contributions to threads it is usually "more burner than thou". Crypto usually has no problem belittling other people and their thoughts with this superiority thing he/she has going, almost bullying. "Sad and pathetic"? Take your sad and pathetic and apply it elsewhere.
Re: Next year's theme?
I might have the first adept to actually plonk on eplaya...havent done it yet, but this seems as nice opportunity...jeeeez some people...

Karlene, this is very simple. Put her on your foes list and you will never have to read her posts again. I have done this myself with users I find unbearable.
You're no prize yourself by the tone of your posts, but I'm assuming you're a much better person than your posts on eplaya would indicate. Almost everyone is. Even a Burning Man board is the internet, you have to choose what makes you crazy, and what you ignore.

I am going to tell you again... chill out, and take it down about 10 notches. I know you seem to like fucking with people, you pick out one and start in and can't let it go, kinda like some pit bull, but stop it. Now.
The first was a polite request. Make this second one an official one. Capisce?
I got nothing more to say.

Re: Next year's theme?
You have absolutely no idea what you are talking about. You posted inane drivel and can't take a mild comment? You have no business using internet chat if your skin is so thin. Let me elaborate. Cryptofishist has been a friend that eplayans have been able to count on for many years and she is loved dearly. Her wit and wisdom lift us and make us think. She has been through more in life that you could ever imagine, and still remains a graceful, constant presence of sanity and clarity on this board.Karlene wrote:No, you got it wrong. Cryptofish makes a career out of debasing other people's opinions, like nobody know anything but him. But that's his way I guess. But don't call my post pathetic because you disagree with me. Just disagree, don't label me with words from your obviously limited vocabulary. I simply posed a question based on the input I've received and was called "pathetic"? Who'se pathetic here? You may disagree, but pathetic is not the word to use. Because maybe YOU are the pathetic one here. He probably kicks his dog for enjoyment.
So IMHO, "pathetic" was very, very kind - so fuck your mother in the fucking face, dickbreath.

Seconding BBSue, expanding it to include everyone. Take time to step back & breath, what needs to be said has been said.

+10 to what others have said.
To anybody out there: If you find a person's posts to consistently be not the sort of thing you enjoy reading, you can either choose to ignore that person yourself or avail yourself of the 'foes' feature (click on the person's user name, and click the "Add foe" link on the page that comes up). Please avoid personal attacks and name calling.
Thanks

I agree! (about the rumor and conspiracy theories...not the killjoy part.)
theCryptofishist wrote:I have a great weariness from all the wild rumors and morality tales that swirl around the event. It will be there, or it won't. I seriously doubt the latter. I suppose we're going to be seeing that Larry has cancer of the spleen, and there will be all sorts of rumors around treatment and succession and anything else that anyone can think of.
I suppose it helps people feel connected post-event, but I find it dreary and pathetic. I know, I'm a killjoy.
