How we love the. One of the most memorable and friendly places on the playa!
You served me my first ever free drink on the playa, and my last free drink in 2011. The time spent hanging out after the burn Saturday night was amazing. Sad, but amazing.

The Booby Bar will be missed.
I'd say that next year, the domes are built in its place, but not covered and not occupied.

Aw, Illydilly, funny you should say something like "dome no cover in its place" we pulled them both down this year a day early (Sunday morning) where we would normally leave one boob up...well, we still had lots of alcohol...so Trojan left the sign up and we put the center piece of the bar in front of the sign, filled it with the last of the alcohol...

They came....and the funniest part was that everyone was still in the Boobies, even though they wernt set up, an arc of people on both sides, as if the boobies were still standing. We opened that very last night around dark:45'ish and didnt close till the sun was UP on Monday, and damn it, we still didnt run out of booze!

I said we never have run dry...and I guess its stands that it never would............................miracle.

Thank you my playa family, friends and neighbors. You helped us make the Booby bar one of the best bars on the playa for 5 years strong!

(yeah, I went bar hopping this year, we really did have the bestest! It was a short hop as we drove for miles and the only even close to worthy bar was the Grotto?)

OMG OMG OMG, I had so much fun and so glad I was there to open the boobs and close them down again! Titwi and Piney thank you so much for opening your heart and your camp to Alice and I. Boobarians till we die!

Sumo, you and Alice the goon were a very integeral part of the Booby Bar, Always. Even when you wernt able to make the trek.

I want to say this even on a broader plane, All the Boobarians dont give themselves enough credit, you all made it what it was. GREAT!

And the people of BRC, we couldnt do it without you, you were the driving force to make the Booby Bar as successful as it was, without you and your camaraderie, your elbows of conversation, yup thats what it took to make the Booby Bar AWESOME!!!!!

I could say I have pains of loss, but I dont. for I am richer in love and friends for the experience, so it was all good.

I am definitely going to do a Miracle of the Boobies art piece, or two or three.

I felt so at home, even though my asthma wouldn't let me stay in the boobies more than a few minutes at a time. I am so glad my little art project brought joy and smiles.

Seriously? No Booby Bar next year? *tear*. I lived up the block from this and relished seeing the twin jets of flame. Sadly, I didn't venture in, for some odd reason I felt quite awkward about it. Sad to know it won't be there when I return, but im totally glad I got to see it. Thanks for the cancer board outside...helped me let go of a couple things

Next year will be small, small or nothing at all for Piney and TITWI. Other Boobiarians are hatching plans. It's the playa, but they may or may not come to fruition. The rest of Terminal City will be there: Playawaste Raiders, MASH, Apokaliptika, Sex Filth Avenue, the Herrings. (I'm probably forgetting someone, sorry.) The Apok Kantina will be there (vodka shots) and there's talk of another bar, but it's too early for me to be revealing any information, and I only have a general outline anyway. And it's a pretty good bet that One Eyed Dick will have some sort of flame effects, mobile or stationary.

The Boobie Bar is closed. Packed up their tent, burned the bar top, slushed out the water coolers, evaporated their ice, pulled the stakes, mooped the playa, and loaded the trailer of fate, never to return.

Of course, there will be boobies... thousands and thousands of boobies... but the one pair we love so much, as we knew them, no... the playa has suffered a radical mastectomy... the scars of which will be visible in many a burner... yet we must move forward into a whole new era.

I heard someone is selling a star bar tent, however...

Piney and TITWI,

For the last half decade of burns, Booby Bar has been my go to drinking establishment on the playa. Made a few life long friends and lost more than a few brain cells.

Working the bar Monday with the CO and Raiders Night were personal highlights for me. Playing bouncer at the door in a top hat was a blast.

Thank you EVERYONE on the PLAYA sooo much, for without you, we were just 2 giant geodesic domes. But with your love,help and magic that is the playa, the skin was real and the heart beat was LOUD!

I imagine in about 9-10 months all of our Boobarian family will have dreamed something NEW up!
