It's wise to listen to anything Jella says about abs, which you know if you've met her. :)

hello everybody...I did not gain any weight on the playa...but since returning and dealing with post-playa decompression I've picked up my old sweet tooth habit.
Figured I need a little help in staying motivated once I get home and this may be a good place.

Any one else finding it tough to work out when the cough is just so much comfier at 8:30pm?

KAIA is kind if a grass roots body conditioning/extreme workout for women. Some KAIAs have indoor space, ours just got our indoor space this summer. We usually workout at parks, highschool tracks, etc. It is really tough but of course you go at your own rate. It really can give you amazing results. My 21 yr old daughter did it with me last spring and she was impressed with how tough it is and she is pretty fit. It involves strength & body conditioning, yoga, and aerobic fitness(jump roping, running). I have a love/hate relationship with it. The first time I tried it I thought "What the hell have I gotten myself into?" I stuck with it but haven't been since mid June so it's gonna hurt again for awhile.

If it is offered in your area, you should take a look at it.

I've been doing shorter, faster runs (in the hopes of maintaining frequency) around my neighborhood to the fun roadtrip music I played on the way to the Burn.

It's hard to feel sad while I run; it's harder to think about anything as well. I think it's helping with decompression, a bit.

Hi guys!! I'm a triathlete/marathoner/fitness fanatic... thought I'd jump in here.

I have rheumatoid arthritis so I've had to back off a lot, but I do about 10-16 miles per day on the elliptical...

Just thought I'd pop in and say hi :D

and, how fun would it be, (considering your short, fast runs), to wear a bandana over your face, carry a shopping bag, and, run from convenience stores?.......and, I bet at times, you'd get that added "chase", to push your limits.

I was in the club over a year ago. I've sadly gained since then, but this is the time! The weight and bad habits have got to go!

My weight is exactly the same as a year ago, no gain is good. My blood pressure and triglycierides are down, also good.

Still struggling with finding daily joy.

Ive fallen off the responsible eating and exercise wagon big time. I'm 10 lbs off of my recent low from my abandoning of good habits as burn prep took over my life. I actually gained weight at the burn! I'm slowly starting to drop the resurfaced bad habits but it's tough. I really need to cut out the daily Mocha that I use to fight off fatigue. (sip) I'm getting back on the wagon though and I resolve now to enter all data daily in my fitness app on my phone to really drive the point home. I need to walk more too.

just finished hooping for roughly 45 mins. Got an ok sweat out of it...the tough part is now I want to eat something sweet...blah. Maybe yogurt will suffice and I will be able to ignore the ice cream in the freezer. Wish me luck!!!

Started back up with KAIA this week. Muy sore! if you say killer fast enough it sounds like KAIA, which it is. Not that really enjoy the intensity of it but I've found it is the one thing that will definetly get me results. :P

I skipped water class this week, but I'm on antibiotics and well, TMI. All puffy from PMS. And worried because I'm in the pre-hypertension group the TV is saying are all going to drop dead next week. Damn, I'd better get caught up watching what's on my DVR.

get yourself back to healthy and feeling good (or at least up to it). And don't drop dead because I would really like to visit you next year on playa.

If I die in the upcoming year, I intend to haunt the F#$% out of you people!

Blood pressure down to 113/85 thanks to no-coffee. i.e. the diastolic is slightly up since the last time, but I haven't seen Systolic at 113 since I was a teen. Wha?

Continuing the shorter, faster runs. These remain great for stress.

I imagine I will hear coffee calling my name by November. :? I think this year I will aim for coffee consumption November through March.

Time for everyone who needs it, to get back on the fitness wagon!!

I need to drop about 40 more pounds & so far since joining the eplaya fitness club, about a year ago, I've dropped almost 25 pounds, but I still have about 40 to go, arg!

This won't be easy, but with proper/improved diet, and a more active & healthy lifestyle, I think I can drop 20 to 25 by next year (maybe 40, if I get more sex!)

Squash is in season, easy to pressure cook and has disgestive enzymes, I love the stuff.

Vitalyte and elctrolyte tablets have helped reduce my severe neck to toes cramping, wow!

Here's to a healthy decompression and autumn season, SKOL!!

Ok you sold me Moonrise, I'm joining EFC.
(ok where do I sign?)
<gets sharpie, scrawls on side of the board>

RobbiDobbs
goal: 30 lbs by next year
method: dancing, walking

I just bought the just dance game, tried a couple songs. Whew! it's tough. If I can work up to 30 minutes of that I'll be sweating buckets. Walkies with Gonzo when we get a section of morning time together.

Gotta get the damn cat to the vets now though. Good to see you unjon and moon! Good luck!
