My Apologies

Post by maryanimal » Mon Sep 19, 2011 7:45 pm

I would like to apologize to everyone. I posted a really nasty paragraph to someone and it was uncalled for. I can't say what I was thinking at the time, it all came gushing out. I'm truly embarassed that I posted it.

The last thing I wanted to to was lash out at someome, no matter who it was.

So, my deepest and sincerest apologies.
Sometimes I'm confused by what I think is really obvious. But what I think is really obvious obviously isn't obvious.

Oh mary. You are so damn sweet. Thank you for caring so much about the community that you did this. And thank you for everything else...

Life should be lived with no regret.

I have never understood that philosophy. Basically: No Regrets = Never Acknowledging You Can Err = Never Learning and Growing. You shouldn't wallow in regret, but you certainly should be able to acknowledge it.

I've made mistakes in my life I regret, I've learned from them, I've changed behaviors & I've grown. Personally I think MA did an amazing & rare thing posting a public apology.

There is nothing wrong with apologizing, if she said something that she either did not mean or was misinterpreted. But she meant it, and she said it. I know she meant it because I would have said it had she not said it first. This certainly isn't something to regret.

And as long as you learn from mistakes with the benefit of hindsight, again, no reason for regret. We might be having a semantic argument here.

I want you all to know how much you all mean to me. But I've been posting too much sad and personal stuff in here. I also posted an apology in the Fuck thread.

I think I just need to step back for a while. I'll come back in at a later date. Thank you for understanding

Love,

Mary Ann

Yep. Make lots of mistakes, but never make the same mistake twice is a great philosophy.

PS if you want a public flogging, I think we could to go all out. I think that this situation absolutely requires a really futile and stupid gesture be done on somebody's part! And we are just the guys to do it. TOGA! TOGA! TOGA!
