2011 - A Virgin Burner's Experience :)

Long time reader of the eplaya forums here - I just wanted to share my experience and some pics of our camp. I went with a buddy of mine and it was a first time for us both (we stayed for the duration of the week).

I had an awesome, AMAZING time!! Since coming back, I've been absolutely obsessed with burning man - spending most of my time at home (and work) surfing the web for photos and videos of the event. Can't wait until next year!! :)

Thanks to these forums, we came pretty prepared for the event. I even built a bucket swamp-cooler, although to my surprise it wasn't nearly as hot as I anticipated and I didn't end up using it much (big thanks to FIGJAM for his instructions on how to build this). We built a couple of the small Hexayurts as our camp (the 6 foot yurts) in addition to a canopy/shade structure. We were located at 6:45 & G (not too far from the dodge-ball camp).

pretty much what I live off of both on and off the playa
