No Missed Connections

Post by lazerfox » Tue Sep 20, 2011 1:51 pm

This one is for anyone who had no missed connections. You met all the people you intended to meet and/or you didn't feel a "moment" with any strangers you met.

I'll start: I was pretty shy with strangers and anyone whom I went out of my way to compliment (or talk to) simply said a polite thank you and that was that. There were some whom I had some nice small talk with but they were just nice sweet fleeting moments that hold no tugs on my heart.

However, anyone whom I meant to meet I sure as hell met. (I was lucky to meet some of them multiple times *cough*CFM & Ygrrr*cough* )

Anyone else feel like they had no missed connections or is it just my strange energy??

Nope, not really. There were some people I wanted to see that time or circumstance prevented; but there's always next year.

When I was a kid I used to pray every night for a new bicycle.
Then I realized that the Lord doesn't work that way so I stole one and asked Him to forgive me

There were loads upon loads of friends and acquaintances that I would have loved to see on the playa and didn't, but that's okay (no missed connections posts for me). We'll reconnect again in due course, quite possibly at exactly the right moment. I'm very grateful for the time I got to spend with the people I did see, as well as my wonderful campmates.

The more years you go, the more people you know, the more people you miss each year.

There's always a couple. My count of main missed connections from this year was 3.

My cousin (two years in a row), IllyFUCKINGDilly and Monkey Boy from Costa Rica. Le sigh.
