would be nice to see this for 2012.... thoughts?

doesn't look like they will make their target, one thought anyway. nice idea though.

A bit pricey at $200 though, and I'd be loathe to have something that expensive on a burner bike.

The idea is cool though, and I don't think making a simplified and playa-fied version of it would be too terribly difficult.

They don't seem to provide very much forward light - as he was suggesting that they could be used as headlights. As for general visibility, hokey spokes are already on the market and are brighter, better, cheaper. I don't think his product will succeed unless he makes significant improvements for use as headlights pointing forward.

Pfft. I'm not going to donate money to fund prototyping costs for a company's product. Even that Monkeylectric bike light company wants the public to fund their damn products. $75 per light and they can't pony up $7000 for their second generation product? If these companies want to make and sell products, they should fund their own prototyping, or seek out capital from investors (not kickstarter type donations) like every damn company before them.

As a side note, this gives me faith in Kickstarter to seriously fund cool projects. Over $150k pledged???? Wow. I was only planning on 7-10k for my LED suits.. :wink:
