It has come to my attention...

The purpose of this is to see if my usage of the term "Nazi" in my eplaya name is affecting the way people react to the message I bring.

People constantly refer to the person in charge of the clean-up plan as "the MOOP Nazi". No, not evetryoone does this, but I have heard it enough to feel that it is an understood humorous and accepted way to refer to an individual who was responsible and somewhat fanatical about the LNT plan of the camp.

I feel that it in many ways is mocking the term "Nazi". It is typically used in a light-hearted semi-derogatory way and my goal is to create an alliance of those individuals who have the reputation as a "MOOP Nazi" free from the requirments of having to be involved in a theme camp. As it was described to me by one person "Kind of like a Rotary Club" for MOOP Nazis.

This is my goal and the concept behind what it is I am doing.

Am I being insensitive by taking this as my eplaya name?

The first time I heard the term it startled me (this was during the burn in 2010) I also noticed the 'nazi' part bothered a few, maybe something else could be used.

MOOP_nazi does flow off the tongue easily, especially when everyone is drunk and tired. I'm sure you are feared by the MOOPERS!!

It is just a word - albeit one with some nasty historical connotations. That said, I'd hate for people to stop using the word, the youngsters of this generation (and the next) need to be reminded of what occurs when one lets racism, hatred, bigotry and madness rule. You can't stop history repeating itself if you don't talk about history.

Actually, the only reason I'd support--but not necessarily request--a name change is that I'd like to use more propaganda posters/media that isn't just Nazi-like, but also Soviet-esque, and maybe a touch of Mao here and there. The closest thing I can think of that would have similar connotations to being a "Nazi" about shit is being a "Czar." So if you were to switch to anything--and again, I'm not promoting that you do--something like "MOOP Czar" might work.
