Anyone Somewhat Techie that can help with my Playa Project?

I know it's late, but I want to do a simple project. Basically the technical part is a trunk that will sit out in the deep playa. I want it to play a 15 minute audio loop when the lid is opened. I have a trunk and a portable CD player. I don't know how to do it, but I am fairly handy. Anyone got the know how? I have the audio on CD and MP3. This will be a cool, possibly transformational, interactive piece.
