long time listener first time introducer

Post by lemur » Wed Oct 12, 2011 5:19 pm

HI!

I never did one of these posts.. so, HEre it is!

Hi! I am lemur. I am a burner. I work for lamplighters where i run the kitchen and take part in our depts equivalent of a 'council'

I am on my 6th year of kicking ass for all of you..

in 2011 I spent my first year involved with the Dept of Mutant Vehicles where i spent about 60 hours participating in the Vehicle Processing Sessions which happened off-site before the event.. fun times!!

outside of burny stuff I am a photographer, with most of my time spent doing fine art prints and working in a darkroom with images... I came to find burning man on my own but didnt end up in the dust until some fellow art student friends asked me if i wanted to go, I did and like many.. all hope was lost.

in 2012 I plan to kick ass with the lamplighters, yet again.. where I will run a new awesome incarnation of the kitchen with a dedicated kitchen crew for the first time ever! I will also continue off-site volunteering with DMV.. cuz those processing sessions are a cool way to see all the moving art......

I hope to make you all proud.

Hooray for belated introductions! Thanks for the ass-kicking that you and the whole lamplighter crew does, as well as your part in the mutant vehicle process. I know it's a lot of tedium, but it helps make it possible to manage having so many amazing art cars out there safely navigating the streets and open playa. And great work In the photography department, the pics you've shared are really incredible.

With your post count welcome seems out of place, but welcome to eplaya anyway.
