Here is a telling quote, "From now on the government knows that at any given moment Israelis can return to the streets and must therefore deliver the goods."
OK, GOV must deliver the goods. GOV is comprised of the "PEOPLE". Every dollar increase in taxes causes a 3 dollar decrease in GDP. Are the protesters calling for higher taxes,,, on who? The rich, perhaps? They want better salaries and better benefits. The only resources of GOV are the fruits-of-labor of it's people.
GOV inflated and crashed the currency in the mid 80s. Israel receives over $ 3 billion a year from America.

Israel, like North Korea, has let the "hawks" take over and impoverished the country. Israeli influence has done the same to America.
The early Russian immigrants to israel instituted barbarism against their neighbors in the 40s. This set the pattern where israel in a beleaguered garrison. Like north Korea, the garrison has become too expensive to maintain. Will the protesters demand an end to militarism?
You can bet that the hawks will provoke some attacks to keep the military machine going strong.
