Can I leave the burn with my RV early? Sunday?

This is my first burn, and although I'm reading the site and FAQs, I'm not quite getting the policy on vehicles leaving the playa.

I MUST drive my RV out of the BRC on Sunday. I'm staying at Earth and 10:00. Will they let me leave early or am I not allowed to move my RV once it is in BRC? Yikes! Am I held captive?

What are my options? Any suggestions?

Please answer quickly....If I can't leave early, I can't go.

Will they charge me $20 bucks to leave early?

You can leave anytime you want to.

The $20 only applies if you want to leave and come back in. If you are leaving and not coming back, you can go anytime. If you need to drive to Gerlach in the middle of the week because you ran out of beer, then you pay the $20. Cheaper to take the bus, and that of course is what they are trying to get people to do. Come to city and stay put until you are ready to return to the real world.

Can I move to another part of the black rock desert and camp there or will the BLM make me leave?

I believe if you volunteer to help clean afer the event you can stay past monday, but you must work. I think you can camp in the open desert if you leave and come in by one of the other desert access roads and camp far away from black rock city. Idon't know if the BLM charges camp fees for individuals or what areas might be off limits. Someone else here might know or the BLM web site would have this info.
