While I love snark and occasionaly practice the art myself, I also dislike poking animals in a cage. Both are part of my authentic self.
I don't know how much hand holding I did in that case, and to be honest, it was a thread outside our usual repartory. I guess I genueinely believe that there's no honor in shooting fish in a barrell. (Anyone surprised by that?) I guess I was also a little gun shy after the previous issues with tg's threads. And my thought is also that laying down the law of thread creation parameters is going to scare her off.
I understand that others do not agree with me on all, perhaps any, of these counts.

I've seen both the English and American stage versions, thought they were just fine, well done. No callbacks though, that's just rude to the live actors. What I do not like is the shadow cast production in SLC, the "host/emcee" has a microphone and doesn't allow a moment of audience callback, she runs through the ones she knows (does it quite well) ... no fun at all. On the playa is a hoot when I get the opportunity.

I never saw any of the revival productions in the last decade. Back in the early 90's (before I started shaving my head) I used to slick my hair back and play the part of Riff as a stand-in at a local art-house theatre (the regular player was great, but not so reliable). It was a lot of fun, but man cleanup was a bitch.

Yea... the whole thing would have been a lot better had I not...

1) Created a Sock Account.
2) Made a Rasmoopin avatar from when I was Rasputin for Halloween in 2006.
3) Typed the modified Rasputin quote into the wrong window.

Rasputin was poisoned, shot, beaten, and then finally drowning killed him. Maybe it would have been quicker if they had tried defeating him with Google Chrome.
