Re: Hi Friends!
I camped with another friend from Denver. We were somewhat underprepared (I had only returned from abroad a week or so before) but we were able to miracle someone a ticket (my other friend had to cancel).

Welcome to eplaya.
Savannah: I don't know what it is, but no thread here escapes alive. You'll get 1 or 2 real answers at minimum, occasionally 10 or 12, and then we flog it until it's unrecognizable and you can't get your deposit back.

When I was a kid I used to pray every night for a new bicycle.
Then I realized that the Lord doesn't work that way so I stole one and asked Him to forgive me

Hey there! Welcome to this little crazy group! 2011 was our first time also and I don't plan on willingly missing another.

Thats cool that you were able to score a ticket at the last minute!Cam_Nielsen wrote:I camped with another friend from Denver. We were somewhat underprepared (I had only returned from abroad a week or so before) but we were able to miracle someone a ticket (my other friend had to cancel).
Being under prepared the first year is totally normal. Most folks don't bring enough of something and too much of something else. Our first year, we brought everything you would need for a week in the mountains: Shovels, rain coats, warm coats, flares for starting fires in the rain, and all sorts of shit you don't need in the desert.
eh, burn and learn.

I didn't bring lighty stuff.
I was a big ol' darkwad. (Well, I had one of these which isn't much.) My bike was plenty lit. Felt bad... fixing that next year... learning how to work with EL. Going to go from famine to feast.
