direction of Wind

Post by Bob A » Sun Aug 22, 2004 9:34 pm

I know this was mentioned someplace in another thread but using the search function for the last hour I get nothing.

I'm bring a small 15 foot camp trailer and someone mentioned once to set it up to block the worst wind. They gave a direction for where most of the wind comes from and explained how it changes during the day.

http://www.burningman.com/preparation/e ... ments.html

Last paragraph "Securing Your Camp".

"Try to position your tent and any shade structures to present the smallest possible profile to the wind (prevailing south-southwest to north-northeast)."

Enjoy.
