OK, I'm just going to come out and say it...there's no reason for any person to be 260# and even less reason for anyone else to support or encourage it. I'm not saying that everyone should be skinny, there's nothing wrong with being a bit on the cherubic or Rubenesque size, but geeze, take a little pride in yourself, your diet, exercise and your health.

Sorry if this sounds judgmental, but I find it hard not to be at times; it's a personal weakness.

I have my own apartment. I pay my rent. I pay all my own bills (Loans from school,tv,internet,electric) I pay for my own food, i pay all my own medical bills out of pocket, I do not have a car because it was stolen the wrecked and at that time it was not covered under insurance. Yes I know my bad. I have not been able to afford a new one nor do I have the credit to get one. I have picked up a part time job at night at a pub so I could get keep my head above water with bills on top of a full time school and a full time job at the salon (which is commission). I get a ride from my mom from work as I take the bus to work and it does not run after 5pm. I do not have a grocery store with in walking distance and the bus stop is quite a ways from me as well. I do not ask her for rides for anything but those two reason. The last time I borrowed money from her or anyone else was over 2 years ago for grocerys.

I'm actually the kind who would side with your mom and state that you're living far too hand-to-mouth to go on some vacation like this from the perspective of finances... but you could still do it with some discipline. Say that you save about three dollars a day for a year (that's from August 28th, paying back-payments to make up the difference). Do not touch that fund for anything. If you must touch that fund, emergency or whatever, then you're living far too hand-to-mouth to go.

That means consistently $3/day, not "oh, I'll wait until my paycheck to put that in" or "Oh, I forgot. I'll put in 2x that much tomorrow". All discipline. Easy as bagging your own lunch, not buying coffee, other small things that add up. You'll have a plan, not a whim.

What about nasty glands and no health care? What about living in a country where the food industry owns the bureau of government that regulates it and therefore the cheapest, most readily available food is high calorie, low nutritian? What about having so much stress on your joints that the only way for you to really get the exercise is to go to underwater areobics and there you are, on your way, and you get off the bus, and fall, and twist your ankle and have the humiliation of not being able to get up and no one helps you? What about having bone spurs so you can't walk any distance, plus anxiety that makes you eat? What about losing your legs and suddenly converting to a sedentary lifestyle, sitting all the time, never to be able to go on a simple walk around the block?
Yes, diet and exercise. Good stuff. Hard work physically and mentally. (I find exercise so bloody boring myself.)
And that picture was so unnecessary.

What about all you assholes go say the nastiest shit you can think up in another thread to each other, instead of ganging up on someone so vulnerable?
