I guess some of us got wrapped up in the mythos of the self-destructive artiste less than others.

yup....gaminwench wrote:Beware absinthe...
now if someone could just remind me of that on the night that would be good.
On the food front the less "messy" the better!
And if you are bringing food in a container that you want to keep either decant the food out of container onto something we can throw out, or TAKE YOUR CONTAINER AWAY WITH YOU.

Re: So what are you doing for the Meet & Greet in 2012?
I am a witness Mel did not drink any absinthe on the way into Black Rock City. It was safely locked away in the freezer of our RV. Now, this raucous behavior of which you speak, I can only add that Jewellee and Firefox did the same thing just as me, Jewellee, and Blowfish had done the years before. We were participants damn it, and not spectators. I also realize that as early arrivals more is expected out of us because we aren't holding up any lines. I will leave it at that.
But we still need a lot more absinthe.
But we still need a lot more absinthe.
Re: So what are you doing for the Meet & Greet in 2012?
I've tried a handful of the absinthes available here in the states. Keubler, St. George, Le Tournement Vert (gross!)... My favorite so far is the one that is distilled here in Portland, Trillium. I'll make sure to truck a bottle down with me.

It certainly can't be weirder than the Vegemite vs. Marmite challenge.
What makes me sad is that I can't remember which one was more tolerable, and I don't want to buy them.
But I need to know.

sorry Marmite is the more natural (with no added color or preservatives) and personally, IMHO, I think better tasting...Elorrum wrote:so many things I missed, and I know I was there when it happened. Savannah: I don't know what it is, but no thread here escapes alive. You'll get 1 or 2 real answers at minimum, occasionally 10 or 12, and then we flog it until it's unrecognizable and you can't get your deposit back.
