----------The Burning Man website doesn't mention a store in Empire (or Gerlach for that matter). Does this mean that the Empire store is no more? I remember buying some corn chips there last year that I have not been able to find anywhere else. I was looking forward to a return visit.

Check your map or MapQuest. My guess is that it's 70 miles from Wadsworth to Empire. Note--they didn't say "the playa".
